Accessibility and HTML Validation of the KISS Builder products

NB: The guidelines apply to both the KISS Builder products and any website that KISS Builder generates.

  1. The HTML code of KISS Builder validates to the relevant Document Type (W3C) and is created using current recommended standards.
  2. KISS Builder uses CSS for all design elements such as colour, borders etc.  KISS Builder uses relative font sizes for text which means all text can be changed using browser resize options.
  3. The HTML code within KISS Builder is well-structured and should be visible in any browser that cannot display images and visual styles.
  4. All pages on this site meet all WAI Guidelines at Priority Level 1 and Priority Level 2.
  5. Access keys are not used on this site for the following reasons:
    • they are not widely supported in modern browsers
    • there are no current standard access keys which may confuse users
    • they may cause problems with shortcut keys in certain operating systems
  6. KISS Builder does not use frames or tables for layout. Any tables used in KISS Builder are only used in their appropriate way.
  7. Images use descriptive ALT attributes in the locations where their use is appropriate.
  8. Browser compatibility
    KISSBuilder has been tested with the following browsers:
    Windows
    Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and above
    Microsoft Internet Explorer (versions 5.01, 5.5, 6.02, 7 on PC)
    Mac OS X
    Mozilla Firefox 2 and above
  9. KISS Builder will work in most other browsers though some formatting functions may not be available.
    Browsers that have been tested are:
    • Opera 8 and above for Windows
    • Netscape 8 for Windows
    • Safari for Mac OS X
    • Lynx 2.8 for Windows
  10.
